AMC宣布立项科幻小说历史纪录剧集《詹姆斯·卡梅隆的科幻小说轶事》(暂译)。剧中詹姆斯·卡梅隆将通过分析科幻小说从起初被人们崇拜到如今轰动影视界的成功演变，深度探究人类与科幻小说之间的历史关系及现实意义。詹姆斯·卡梅隆将担任执行制片人。该剧将于2018年上线AMC，共6集。
在本剧中，神秘美女冰室（釈由美子饰）作为这个游戏的“庄家”，以巨额奖金诱惑“选手”们在时限内完成各类任务，包括：8小时内和温柔贤良的妻子离婚；一周内找到结婚对象；在婚礼举行前抢走好友的新郎；诱惑自己的学生；和自己劣迹斑斑的男友分手；抢走姐夫；设计让未婚妻出轨，再原谅她等形形色色的各式任务。

本剧以龙门古镇为背景，讲诉了薛佳凝扮演的楚笑笑是北京长大的80后女子，人气小生杜淳饰演的男一号则是龙门古镇的孙氏后代孙翌伟，清华毕业(学汽车制造)，又出国留学，后回到北京工作(IT行业)，由于被初恋女友佟洁抛弃，过失致使哥哥死亡,心里承受着巨大的压力。30多岁还未成家，家人最盼望的就是他能带个媳妇回家过年，于是他就开始网上租女友，于是楚笑笑和孙伟伟就成了一对“合约情人”。而这对“合约情人”回到龙门古镇一方面要讨得家人开心，又暗中斗法，幸得孙翌伟的外甥钟垒(冷中易饰演)的暗中帮助，最终获得真爱谱写浪漫的故事。
《天空之城》是由台湾电视制作人柴智屏携《流星花园》原班创作人马加盟制作，朱孝天出演男一号，李冰冰出演女一号，杨丞琳、郑雪儿、张浩天联袂出演。
